The Birth of a Hero

{Green Hill}

Sonic: [Dashes and stand on the mound and looks towards the sunset] (thought) My name is Sonic, which everybody calls me. I don’t know my real name nor don’t know where I come from, but I’ll tell you my story about how all these things begin.

{Laboratory}

Voice: (almost similar to Dr. Robotnik’s from Sonic X) Yes, yes! I am a genius. I did it. I have finally succeeded on the use of those jewels.

[Shows the ground is mounding like someone burrowing from underground. Then it reveals it’s a brown hedgehog dig from underground.]

Hedgehog: [looks around] (Sonic’s voice) Hey! Where the heck am I? [Sees everything] Is this place a lab or something?

Professor: [Out of nowhere] Correct you are! Welcome to my Laboratory. [Kneel down and look at the hedgehog in the eyes with a kind manner.]  I am Dr. Ovi Julian Kintobor, please to meet you young Erinaceus Europaeus*.  [Extent his hand]

Sonic:  [clueless] Uh… okay… [Shake Kintobor’s hand and let’s go] (Remembered) Hey I heard of you before. It’s from a young friend of mine, he’s a big fan of you. He told me you’re the greatest scientists ever known in Mobius.

Kintobor: Ah stop it! (Embarrassed) You embarrassing me, I’m not that great.

Sonic: I hear you won the award of making the most environmental energies you ever made.

Kintobor: Well it’s nothing, I just doing it for the planet and for life.

Sonic: You also create robots to help us to clean up wastes.

Kintobor: Just doing it for the planet. [Walk to the machine with a dome appearance, inside the domed machine, there’s seven jewels like there harassing something]

Sonic: What is that machine? [Walking to the machine]

Kintobor: That is my Retro-Orbital Chaos Compressor or ROCC for short. I create it to attract all the evil forces throughout Mobius. [Point at the seven emeralds] These emeralds also known as Chaos Emeralds are the ones that locks all the evil forces after that I may even try to find a way to use these emeralds by harnessing them into pure energy.

Sonic: These jewels? Ha! They look like just ordinary gems. Unless there on display.

Kintobor: Ah….! Don’t be too sure… they really work.

Sonic: Prove it then doc.

Kintobor: I am glad to… [Picks up a remote control] Observe. [Click an on button]

Reporter: This is just in, we’ve got some news that the gangsters of dogs known as the Land Rovers declare a disbanded and they turn themselves in and they are been taken custody and will be in trail tomorrow and…

Sonic: (surprised) Impossible! I hear that they’re the most ruthless motorcycle gang ever known in South Island. [Looks at the machine] Is it?

Kintobor: Yes, [walk to the ROCC.] and in that rate, Mobius may go towards peace for the next two months from now.

Sonic: Sounds pretty… neat… (Thinks) Hope they don’t drain away my adventurous personality.

Kintobor: I wonder… what’s your name?

Hedgehog: [pause for 2 seconds] I couldn’t remember my name. I don’t know where I’m actually come from. All I remember is that I been raised and lived in Green Hill Village.

Kintobor: Green Hill huh? I hear it’s a beautiful place over there.

Sonic: It is! There are palm trees, waterfalls, fishes and such.

Kintobor: I really like to visit that place some day. I like to meet your friends and see the lands over there. [Looks at the Retro-Orbital Chaos Compressor and check it’s glass dome. Sees there seven glowing jewels starts to lights up a bit]

Sonic: (Background) Times had passed for me and Dr. Kintobor. We’ve become really good friends since then. Days passed by and I let him visit my friends in Green Hill Village.

{3 days later at Green Hill Village}

Sonic: [With Dr. Kintobor while the animals of the village walk around him with amazement and curiosity] Dr. Kintobor, I welcome you to Green Hill Village. A home of me and my friends where we live. [To the villagers] Guys! I like you guys to meet Dr. Ovi Julian Kintobor a friend of mine.

[Young 6 year old Tails arrived while wearing smiliar to Sonic's]

Tails: [Running towards Dr. Kintobor] Dr. Kintobor! I hear about you, I like to introduce myself as… [Someone tripped him] Ow! (Starts to cry a bit)

Sonic: [Running towards Tails] Tails! Are you okay?

Tails: (try not to cry) I’m…. (Huck)… going…to …be fine.

Sonic: Oh, Tails! [Hugs him and picks him up] (Yells) Okay! Who’s the wise guy that picked on him again? [Nobody answers] I need an answer or else I’ll…

Wolf lady: Young hedgehog, how many times I tell you to control your behavior?

Sonic: [To the wolf lady] Lupe! Somebody just…

Lupe: I know you cared and try to look out for Miles but you won’t find a culprit like that. Why not do it like this? [Walks up and looking to the villagers and she point at someone] You! Come here.

Voice: Who me?

Lupe: Yeah you! [Shows it’s a young rabbit boy] You should know better not to tease Miles. He’s just different like the rest of us. Please try not to tease Miles again, is that clear?

Rabbit: Uh… yes Lupe. [Notice something] How do you know I’ve done it?

Lupe: (smirks) You’ve just told me now.

Rabbit: (Shocked) But… why point at me first?

Lupe: You frequently pick on Miles most of the time. Besides, I can tell by someone’s face or body expressions whenever they’re hiding something or calling for a bluff. I played a lot of poker to tell even a small detail.

Sonic: [Holding Tails] Thanks Lupe! [To Dr. Kintobor] Oh and this is my friend Miles Prowler.

Tails: [To Kintobor and waves to him] Hi!

Sonic: But I usually called him Tails.

Kintobor: Hello Miles! [Extend his hand]

Tails: [Shake Kintobor’s hand] Please to meet you Dr. Kintobor. I hear about you and your work. You are my hero.

Kintobor: Oh? He he… why’s that? (Friendly smile)

Tails: You are nice, helping nature and good with machines. I hope someday when I grow up, I may work and may become someone just like you.

Kintobor:  [Pats Tails on the head] Your a sweet kid. If you study hard, it’s a possibility I may let you become my head assistant.

Tails: Neat! [Waves his two tails] That’ll be great.

Sonic: (whispers to Kintobor) Uh… Kintobor, can I talk to you for a minute?

Kintobor: Yes sure young hedgehog.

[Sonic grab Dr. Kintobor’s arm and pulled him to somewhere private]

Sonic: Between you and me. Tails is very unusual between you and me.

Kintobor: I know what you mean by that. I may not like to say things about somebody’s appearances but he does have two tails.

Sonic: No, I mean his intelligence.

Kintobor: His intelligence? [Looking at Tails then looks to Sonic] What is it unusual about his intelligence?

Sonic: {shows his Flashback} Well, since when I was 10 and he was 4. We’re playing with our jig-saw puzzles but then I see how the way he solving the puzzle. I’ve struggled to figure which pieces are which but Tails on the other hand figured which pieces are which by looking at the image on the box. Then he finally completes the puzzle in manner of minutes. {Reality} That is only one of them.

Kintobor: What other things he’s good at?

Sonic: He’s also good by solving the Rubik Cube. He knows what Prime Numbers are and which ones. (Although I didn’t know what and which they are myself.) He even made a toy airplane from old scraps.

Kintobor: Ah! Hmm… (Thinking and got an idea) Young hedgehog, why not let your friend come with us in my laboratory just so I can test his intelligence level.

Sonic: I don’t know? It’s not really up to me. It’s really up to Lupe, since she adopted us as her children since right after the war.

Kintobor: Let me speak to her at least.

Sonic: I will get her for you. [Walks to Lupe]

{Few minutes later}

[Sonic and Lupe came by]

Kintobor: Please to meet you miss.

Lupe: Please to meet you too Kintobor. I’m Lupe, leader of Green Hill village. What is it you like to speak of?

Kintobor: Your hedgehog son told me about your fox child.

Lupe: You mean Miles?

Kintobor: Yes, that fox boy.

Lupe: What is it about him?

Kintobor: The way your nameless son told me. He says that Miles is an unusual kid.

Lupe: It’s not a nice way to say about his appearance.

Kintobor: No, not about his appearance. About his intelligence.

Lupe: His intelligence?

Kintobor: Your nameless hedgehog tells me that Miles is pretty good with puzzles and numbers. Do you know any of that?

Lupe: (Surprised) No! I never hear such thing like that about Miles.

Sonic: Believe me Lupe, he’s quite intelligent when it comes to those things. This is why I like Kintobor to take Miles with me and him right at his laboratory.

Lupe: [To Kintobor] What kind of things you may going to do on Miles?

Kintobor: I just like to give Miles some tests to see how high his intelligence level is.

Tails: Can I Lupe? Can I go to Kintobor’s Laboratory?

Lupe: (hesitates) I’m uh… uh… [See the way Tails’ face is expressed with excitement] Uh… okay, but only tested his intelligence. Nothing more or dangerous. [Tails begin to cheered]

Kintobor: I swear madam. Nothing dangerous on your young pup.

Sonic: [To Kintobor] Let me come along too.

Lupe: No nameless. I like you to stay here.

[Sonic feels disappointed]

Tails: aww… but Lupe… I like him to come along with me. [Puppy eyes] Please! [Show her his blue sparkly eyes]

Lupe: [see his eyes.] Urrr… nu…….nnnnnnooooooookkkkkaaay! [To Sonic] But be sure you won’t get in to anymore trouble. Remember what just happened last time.

Sonic: Hey! We’re just going to his lab, what things may go wrong?

{Kintobor’s Laboratory}

Sonic: [Walking on the treadmill while looking at the room where’s Tails and Kintobor are at] (thoughts) Wonder how things going with Tails?

{Test room}

Kintobor: [Set up three 3x3 Rubik’s Cubes for Tails] We’re just starting on the Rubik’s test. Try to make the colors the same on all six sides on the cube. This test is about your skills of solving things to perfect. I’ll start the watch when ready. [Pulls out the watch and looks at Tails] Ready…?  [Tails nodded. Kintobor start the watch] Go!

[Tails begins to solving the puzzles]

{Outside the test room}

Sonic: [walking on the treadmill and moves faster. Looks through the window that shows Tails been tested by Kintobor] Wonder how Tails doing? [Going faster on the treadmill] Really hope he’s doing well on his tests. [Shows the speed measure from the treadmill gauge went to 30 mph and start to increase a bit more.]

{Test room}

Tails: [Finished all three puzzles] Finished! [Smiles]

Kintobor: [Stops and surprised] Well I’ll be… [Shows the time] You finish all three of them in 55 seconds.

Tails: Is it good?

Kintobor: Good? It’s amazing… let me start you with another test. [Pulls out a device that has four buttons, one blue, one green, one yellow, and one red.] This test is about memorization skills. Follow these buttons’ directions based on flashes. You could only get one try from this one. Ready? [Tails nods] Start!

[Kintobor turns on the switch and the red button flashed by making a bleep sound. Tails hit the red button and made a bleep sound after that the red button flash again and the green button flashed after. Tails hit both of them.]

{Outside the test room}

Sonic: [Running on the treadmill while the gauge shows he’s going 55 mph. Looking at the window still and seeing Tails doing a different kind of test] Tails! When you will not amaze me? [Gauge going to 58 mph and started to go on 60]

{Test room}

Tails: [Hit the buttons one by one 14 times and he hit them correctly.] Alright is that all? [Then shows he has to hit 15 buttons in order] Alright… try this. [Hits them 15 times and done it correctly.]

{45 Minutes later}

Tails: [hit the buttons but then shows he’d got one wrong. After hit the wrong button it makes a buzz sound.] No! I got one wrong.

Kintobor: Amazing! You’ve make a mark of 85 buttons. You the first one ever hit such a mark. Even with an I.Q. of 300 I didn’t even have such capable memory.

Tails: Really?

Kintobor: Yes really! You Miles have a very unique memory. Now I got one final test. [Pulls out a flip-book contain shape-patterned images.] This test is about identifying the usual patterns.

Tails: Okay!

Kintobor: now show me which shape matches the other?

{Outside the test room}

Sonic: [running on the treadmill as the gauge shows he’s moving 421 mph] (huffing and puffing) Must… move… faster… [He’s running faster and shows the treadmill been powered by Chaos Emeralds the whole time. The Chaos Emeralds glow brighter and brighter as Sonic runs fast as he could.]

{Test room}

Kintobor: Very good Miles! Now one final puzzle! Which one of these shapes? [Very complex looking shapes] Will match those other shapes? [Shows the shapes are very hard to solve and very complex to know what type there are]

Tails: Hmm… [Thinking over 15 seconds then point at the one on the center left] It’s this one!

Kintobor: Miles... [Looks disappointed] You are… (Surprised, excitement) ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!

Tails: I got it right?

Kintobor: Yes! You’re the second one that solves this puzzle.

Tails: Who’s the first?

Kintobor: It’s me of course. Now let me calculate your intelligent level and… [Things beginning to rumble a bit.]

Tails: EARTHQUAKE!!! [Duck and cover under the desk]

Kintobor: No wait! It’s no earthquake… it’s… [Exits and Tails follow him]

{Outside the test room}

Sonic: [running on the treadmill and the gauge goes 704 mph] Must… keep…. Moving!!!

[Kintobor and Tails came by while witnessing Sonic running on the treadmill at amazing speed]

Tails: Nameless!!! How did you?

Sonic: [Running through 752 mph] I don’t know… I somehow just…

Kintobor: [See the gauge] He’s moving 755 mph he almost makes it to Mach 1 speed. The speed that may create a Sonic Boom. [Looks at the Retro-Orbital Chaos Compressor is glowing as he found out something] The Chaos Emeralds! They must have given you the speed!

Sonic: I… must… keep… going… [Then suddenly he’s moving to 758, 759, 760, and finally 761 mph. After he hit the mark, a gigantic sonic boom been created and start to erupted the machinery, pushes Kintobor and Tails away, Treadmill losing its traction and the Retro-Orbital Chaos Compressor unstable.]

[The Chaos Emeralds start to glow very bright and start to make a very powerful flash which cover the entire room and create an explosion. After an explosion happens, everything starts to get all dark and blackout. As everything blacked-out the chaos explosion been seen through the dark background, as the explosion appears sonic booms been heard like it’s echoing through.]

{Three weeks later}

First person view: [eyes start to open as it sees it’s like a hospital] (Sonic’s voice) Ah… ah… Where am I? [Turns and sees Kintobor, Lupe, and Tails as they have a surprised look on their face] Tails? Dr. Kintobor? Lupe? What you guys doing here?

Dr. Kintobor: Nameless! You have just created a sonic boom after you caused it, the six Chaos Emeralds spreads all over South Island after the explosion. Since then you’ve got in a three week coma and we take you to this hospital of Gigaopolis.

Sonic: [First person view] It exploded?! Guess it’s not my imagination after all. [Looks at Tails and Kintobor] Are you two okay?

Tails: I’m going to say the same way Sonic.

Sonic: (Wondering) Sonic!?

Tails: You get to call me Tails because I have two tails. [Grab his own tails] Because you cause a Sonic Boom I get to call you Sonic.

Sonic: Sonic! (Satisfying) Sonic! Yeah, Sonic the Hedgehog! It’s great; it’s a cool name for me. Sonic!

Kintobor: To answer your question there Sonic. We’re both doing fine, we gotten inside my indestructible bomb-shelter, we like you to go in there but… you know…

Sonic: (aggravated) I’ll be aware of it.

Lupe: Since your name is Sonic… I like to give you this [punch his head three times]

Sonic: Ow! What the hell is that for? You know I’m injured and in a hospital.

Lupe: You have done something reckless that you put Kintobor and Miles in danger, and most of all. I’m worried sick of you. [Cries a bit]

Sonic: Well, uh… (Thought) oh no! She’s crying I should say something to cheer her up. (Out loud) I’m sorry! Sorry if I put them in danger.

Lupe: Just don’t do that next time. [Hugs Sonic and cries for him. Sonic then begin to embarrassed her but then sees a mirror.]

Sonic: [Sees the reflection of himself and he’s blue] (Shocked) GGGGAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! [Hear all over the hospital and all over the district] I’M BLUE… WHY THE HELL I AM BLUE?

[Third person view]

Kintobor: To my theory, the explosion from the Retro-Orbital Chaos Compressor. The radiation from the Chaos Emeralds might have change the hue from the pigment of your fur and quills.

Sonic: [double check] In the second thought… [Impressed and straighten his quills] I look good in blue.

Tails: Uh… Sonic… [Shows Sonic his tennis shoes are ruined]

Sonic: Gadzooks! [Grab his tennis shoes] My tennis shoes are ruined and they are my most favorite brand of pair.

Kintobor: Sonic, with your type of speed I say not even the best brand pair of shoes ever made from stores will not even handle that kind of friction, But because you’re a pioneer of speed I will going to create you a custom pair of sneakers just for to handle your speed.

Sonic: Really?!

Tails: That’s great!

Lupe: Humph! [crossed her arms] (remembered) Oh yeah! I forgot. Sonic, do you hear about Miles’s I.Q. level?

Sonic: No what?

Tails: Dr. Kintobor says I’m at 295.

[Tails all happy and cheerful for his intelligence]

Sonic: That’s amazing Tails. I like to hug you but I’m sore all over my body.

[Tails continue skipping all happy and cheered on himself for being a genius]

{Dr Kintobor’s lab basement}

[Dr. Kintobor begins to think and writing of which type of shoes he should made. He draws and planning to know what material to use and what texture it’s should be made for both ultra-frictional resistant and comfort. He’s start to melt some carbon fibers mixed it with Moissanite (Man-made diamonds) particles.]

{20 minutes later}

[Dr. Kintobor starts to test out the soles by putting it on a sanded conveyer belt as it turns on. The stompers press down on the soles and shows the soles handle such friction. Then he feels happy when he sees it.]

{Designing lab}

[Dr. Kintobor start to patched the soles and put on comfort gel. Then he’s start to design the sneaker as the color of it is completely white. Then it shows the sneakers are completed]

{4 Days later at Green Hill Village}

[Dr. Kintobor came by]

Dr. Kintobor: Sonic! Sonic!

Sonic: [Walks outside while wearing different pairs of tennis shoes] Wow! Their mine?

Dr. Kintobor: Yes there all yours put them on.

Sonic: [start to take his other sneakers off and put on the new ones Dr. Kintobor made for him.] Oooh! Comfy! [Feels it]

Dr. Kintobor: Since you run so fast and made a lot of steps at each second, I have a feeling your feet will be beating from soreness, so I add in some comforting gel for you. Just for to let your feet feel comfortable even when you’re speeding.

Sonic: Can I give it a try with speed?

Dr. Kintobor: Yes just to see how it’ll work out after the tests I give it.

[Sonic begin to dash away by running with an incredible speed. Sonic start to run downhill and make it up hill in a matter of seconds. Sonic passed by the trees and the riverbed. The trees blown and the river start to spread apart from Sonic’s speed. Sonic then runs towards the highway as the cars passing by. One of the drivers drives by then Sonic runs aside of the car like he’s passing by the driver got all shocked and surprised to see Sonic passing through]

Driver: [Sees Sonic runs and waves hi to him and passed by] GAH!!! [Pulls over the car. Goes out of the car and pull out his cell-phone and auto-dialed] Hello! Can I be excused for work?

Boss: (phone) What for?

Driver: I think I going to see my psychiatrist.

{Highway}

[Sonic continues running by and passing through car to car in the manner of speed. He has passed through the Police Car and the policeman wakes up and sees the speed scanner say 212 mph.]

Policeman: 212? Is this damn thing broken? [Hit the speed-radar] No one in public will ever go in such speed from that kind of traffic. [Looks at the traffic] I like to tell my chief about this damn thing.

[Sonic then made a U-turn by going to the different lane. As he passed by he saw a highway chase.]

Sonic: A highway chase huh, seems like those Chaos Emeralds didn’t absorb enough evil to make others do illegal activities. I guess I’ll put a stop onto this. [Run towards the criminal]

[The criminal start to open fire to the cops]

Criminal: Now I have all these jewels and those cops will not catch up to me. Nothing can stop… [see something] me? [Saw Sonic is on his hood] GAH!!! How the hell? [Smiles] Unless he’s… hehe… now let me just… [start to put his hand on the hood-ejector and pulls it. Sonic just jump over and dashed away after he jump off the car] Oh no! Now I can’t see where I’m going. [Trying to drive and stick his head outside to see where he’s going] Oh no! [seeing he’s going to a semi-truck. He slams the breaks but he’s too late and crashed into the cargo-hold]

[After he’d crashed the cops start to surround the criminal and come out of their cars as they pull out their guns]

Cop 1: [aims] Freeze!

Cop 2: [The criminal raise his hands and she cuffed him] You are under arrest for armed jewel-robbery. You have a right to remain silent, and anything you say or may say will turn against you in court.

Sonic: [looks behind and looks in front while running] Ha! Too easy! That’ll show him. [Runs to one of the exits that lead him to Green Hill. After he makes it in Green Hill he went back to the village as Dr. Kintobor and Lupe wait for him. Sonic start to use his heels as breaks and make it without a problem] I’m Back!

Kintobor: How are they Sonic?

Sonic: There amazing! [Look to the sole of his sneakers] I like them, they didn’t show any signs of warn one bit.

Kintobor: It’s because the soles are made out of carbon fiber materials to prevent any abrasions and warns. A bit of Moissanite particles act as super-cleats to help you stop quicker and coated with heat-retardants to prevent burns and heating frictions.

Sonic: Moissanite?

Tails: [walk by] They’re man-made diamonds. One of the hardest substances in Mobius.

Sonic: Cool! So they could handle anything.

Kintobor: Absolutely anything as long they aren’t dragged onto similar material from your sneakers.

Sonic: I’ll keep that in mind. [Looks at his own sneakers to see there all white with buckles on the sides] Can I make one suggestion?

Kintobor: Yes, Sonic?

Sonic: Does it go on red?

{6 Hours later}

[Shows that Sonic’s sneakers are red with buckled white stripes]

Sonic: [Looks at the mirror of himself wearing the sneakers while inside his own cottage] Ha!

Kintobor: What do you think?

Sonic: Rrrrrrrrico………

Tails: [looks at Sonic’s sneakers] …Suave.

Sonic: That’s the way to say it bro.

[Tails smiles and blushes with embarrassment. Kintobor smiles for a job well done and to satisfied Sonic]

Sonic: (narration) After I have such speed, I say “Hey! Why not try to use such things.”

{Gigaopolis, Spring Yard District}

Sonic: (narration) Then I did.

[Sonic running to the traffic area]

[Everyone in the traffic honking their horns while the traffic is piling up but Sonic dashing through all of them in between and taunting them to show his insecurity about his own speed.]

Driver: [fingered Sonic and honks] Watch it jerk!

[Sonic got on the car and lays on it]

Driver 2: [honks] Get off of my car!

[Sonic then hops off of one car and hops on the other car. He continues skipping on car to car but then the cars begin to move on]

Sonic: [start to fell down to the running traffic] Whoa!!! [Landed and start to run with the traffic] Those guys should chill out. [Passing through the cars without a problem] See ya slow-mo!

[Up ahead it shows there’s a tall building up ahead. Sonic start to run towards it and go upward as he’s running on the wall. A couple of window washers cleaning the windows but then Sonic passed by them and nearly knock them off the platform. Sonic continues dashing on the building wall and finally make it on the rooftop]

Sonic: [On the rooftop] Yeah! Yeah! [Thrusts] Yeah! Yeah! [Shows the sunsets behind his back]

{Ancient city of Marble Ruins}

[Sonic start to run through the broiling lake of lava. He starts to jump from platform to platform floating on top of the lava lake. Each platform starts to burn into a crisp after Sonic jump off of them. After he jump on them he’s start to grab a marble slab about big as a house door.]

Sonic: [running while holding the marble slab] Wait a minute! (Noticing) How can I…? I mean… how…? Never mind! [Make it to another lava lake. He throws the marble slab nears the edge of the lake. He’s start to speed up and jump onto the slab as it pushes to the lake of lava] SURFS UP! YAHOO! [He surfs onto the lake of lava as he maneuvers left and right by avoiding incoming obstacles. One platform is in the way. Sonic abandons the slab and got onto the platform. The platform starts to burn and Sonic begin to leap off and make it to the other side of the lake.] (Smirks) This is way pass cool!

{Sky-High Canyon}

[Sonic running through the old bridges as each of them break off. Sonic start to jump off and run downward from the cliff-wall. He’s continues running down as he enter through a blanket full of clouds right in his way. He enters the cloud, everything going all hazy like he’s running in a foggy area. He continues running through a fog-like and then he finally make it through but sees he’s getting near at the ground. Sonic start to smirks as he’s facing danger, he continues running downward on the cliff wall as he’s about 20 Feet above ground he jumps, rolls into a ball, and finally landed on the ground without any scratches or injuries.]

Sonic: Ta da! [Pose and sees nobody around] What no audience? That sure is a waste of time. [Thinks for a second] Eh, it’s worth it anyway. [Start to run]

{Three hours later, Green Hill Village, Lupe’s Cottage}

Sonic: (narration) I really love my own speed. Felt like I can do everything, well except…

[Lupe grilled a piece of salmon while Tails eat a meal]

Tails: [Swallow the salmon] Lupe! Where is Sonic?

Lupe: (mad, upset) I don’t know! He might have doing his things again. (Thought) How come he always doing this to me?

[Sonic opens the door and enters the cottage]

Lupe: Sonic you’re late again. [Sonic closes the door] (Mad) You start to cause trouble again weren’t you? [Sonic give no response] You always doing this to me but this time you cause more trouble because of you’re… you’re…. [Point at his sneakered feet] Speed!

Sonic: (careless) So what? With my sneaks and my speed why you need to worry?

Lupe: Because…. I’m your foster mother and I don’t like the idea of you that you may get hurt or even get killed by anyone, anything and even from yourself.
Sonic: Well with speed, why should I worry about myself? It feels great to have such speed. Nobody can stop me with this kind of speed I have. [Lupe punch him behind his head again] Ow! [Rub his head where she punched him] Except you.

Lupe: What you saying is reckless. If I can punch you behind your back why shouldn’t I worry you?

Sonic: Trust me! Everything going to be fine with me, I can handle it. [Walk to his room]

Tails: Lupe! Is Sonic becoming bad?

Lupe: (worried) I don’t know Tails…. I really don’t know…

Tails: What you going to do to him Lupe?

Lupe: I may go and talk to him tomorrow. I’m really worried what he may be doing or may become.

{Next day, Outside of Green Hill Village}

[Sonic got out of the cottage and begins to stretch his arms and legs. Dr Kintobor came by while holding an unusual looking machine.]

Sonic: [Sees Kintobor came by] (happy) Hey!

Kintobor: Hey there Sonic. How you doing?

Sonic: Doing well! How about you?

Kintobor: Fascinating, thank you!

Sonic: What is that you holding?

Kintobor: This is my Chaos Radar. It helps me to find those missing six Chaos Emeralds. I put in the red chaos emerald as the source of identification.

Sonic: Any luck?

Kintobor: [looks at the radar screen] Nothing! Not even one nearby. [Continues looking around]

Sonic: [sees the Red Chaos Emerald in the machine] So that’s all you found from the impact zone.

Kintobor: Yes, the only one that I found from the remains.

Sonic: [stretches] Kintobor, for some reason whenever I run with my kind of speed and such distance from here to Gigaopolis. I didn’t feel that much exhaustion, why is that? From here to Gigaopolis is like… 100 Miles away from here.

Kintobor: [continues looking at the radar screen] It might be your body cells from the chaos radiation.

Sonic: My body cells? How and what they have something to do with my speed?

Kintobor: [continues] After the explosion from my laboratory, your body cells absorb the radiation like the sponge absorbs water. Except each of your body cells carry a huge amount of electrical charges from the Chaos Radiation.

Sonic: Are you saying those electrical charges in my body cells give me enough stamina to go miles away?

Kintobor: [maintain his radar] Not quite, every time you run your cells from your leg just discharge and jolted your leg muscles from both your thighs and calves. These electro-charges technically help your legs to process faster, like a reflex.

Sonic: In the other words, they help me to run faster and sprint longer.

Kintobor: Precisely of what I said.

[Lupe comes out of the cottage]

Lupe: [Sees Kintobor] Hello Kintobor.

Kintobor: Hello Lupe.

Lupe: [sees Kintobor holding a Chaos Radar] (wondering) uh… Dr. Kintobor… what is that you’re holding?

Kintobor: [moving around while holding the machine] It’s my Chaos Radar, it helps me to find those six missing Chaos Emeralds.

Lupe: Well I hope you don’t mind but can you please let me and Sonic have some privacy for a while? I really like to talk to him.

Kintobor: Okay! I didn’t find any here anyway. [Walks away but turns around a bit] Oh, I know it may not be my business but… go easy on the lad, he’s still developing.

Lupe: I will. [Kintobor exits and she begin to look at Sonic in the eyes] Sonic, I know you going through a time when a boy start to feel like a grown up but you should know your still a kid.

Sonic: Well I am growing up to be an adult now.

Lupe: Sonic you’re 12! [Grab him in the shoulders lightly. Kneels by looking at him in the eyes.] Sonic, you just need to know I still care about you as much I cared about Miles. I want you to know with such speed you have, you may have a reason why you receive such speed like Miles have his tails and Kintobor with his brain. With your speed you may have come with such responsibilities then for your personal uses.

Sonic: What you saying? I always done a lot of stunts and I came out without an injury.

Lupe: Well…. Uh… it’s more than that…. [Looks away] You’re in the age of development where you may become for the rest of your life. With such speed you have, you may use them for purposes on others than for your own personal enjoyment. With your great speed come with great responsibilities. (Thought) Where did I hear that from?

Sonic: Are you saying… you think… I may become a criminal? [Lupe looks away from him with shame] You should know I know better than that. Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing I just need to have my own time to think.

Lupe: Well…. I’m sorry, I’m trying to help you and worry what you turning into.

Sonic: (upset) Then quit worrying of what I may turn into… (Calming down a bit) I swear I will not going to become a criminal or done something illegal.

Lupe: (sad)… okay…

Sonic: [hugs Lupe] I’m sorry if I say that by hurting you. [Lets her go] (Feels bad) Uh… can I… [Point to Kintobor] Help him out?

Lupe: Sure… he’s a nice guy though. I like him.

Sonic: [nods] He sure is. [Following Kintobor] Hey Kintobor! Need any help from me?

Kintobor: Sure why not. You do have a speed by helping me and Mobius from disastrous problems after all.

Lupe: [pulls out a pack of cigarettes and watches Sonic follows Kintobor] Sonic… how much you’ve grown. [Put one in her mouth and lit it. She inhale pulls it out of her mouth and exhales some smoke out of her mouth.] You should know I may never stop worrying about you. Something tells me like something bad is going too happened and you will be the cause to stop it from happening. [Taken puffs]

{Somewhere outside of Green Hill Village}

Sonic: (Narration) Me and Kintobor look for the emeralds but it’s one of the weirdest discoveries we may ever encountered that day.

[Sonic and Kintobor walking together while Kintobor looking at the radar]

Sonic: Find anything Dr. Kintobor?

Kintobor: [the radar bleeping slowly] (Shocked) Hey!

Sonic: Hay is for horses.

Kintobor: No, not that kind of ‘hay’. I mean ‘hey’ as in “I think we found it”.

Sonic: You have?

Kintobor: Yes! [The beeps start to get more rapid as the radar shows their getting close to one] And we’re getting closer to one.

Sonic: Alright! Now how far it’s at?

Kintobor: [beeps more and more rapid] it’s around 15 feet away from us.

Sonic: We’re getting close. I can feel it inside of me.

Kintobor: [Radar beeps more and more rapid every step he makes] 14 Feet! 12 Feet! 10 Feet! 8 Feet! 6 Feet!

Sonic: [looks around] I couldn’t see it.

Kintobor: [Holding the radar still while searching for the emerald] It might be covered. 4 Feet! (Confused) 2 Feet? Zero inches? [Looks down and sees no crater nor emerald] It’s should be here.

Sonic: Let me dig it out then. [Start to dig in a rapid speed]

{Few minutes later}

Sonic: [Jump out of the big hole] Nothing!

Kintobor: Impossible! (Confused) I’ve test this radar myself and its fully functional without any bugs.

Sonic: Hmm… maybe… what if it’s… [Points up]

Kintobor: No! That is impossible. It’s against the laws of gravity.

Sonic: Not unless they have enough power to.

Kintobor: Well although they do have mysterious powers, it might be possible.

Sonic: Okay now let’s look up!

[They both look up and see nothing above the sky]

Kintobor: Figured! There’s nothing up there.

Sonic: Okay! [They both start to walk away] Let’s just go back… [Something glowing behind them] …Home?

[They see a giant ring]

Sonic: What the hell is that?

Kintobor: I don’t know but… [Checks the radar] its shows that it’s in the spot where’s one of the Chaos Emeralds located.

Sonic: Alright! Let me “Up [jumps] Over… [start to stamp his feet for speed] and GONE!” [Dashing towards the giant ring. He jumps into the hoop-center of the giant ring but nothing happens as he just leaping to the giant hole] GAHHH!!! [Fell into the giant hole and crashed.]

Kintobor: Sonic! [Runs to the edge of the hole.] are you okay?

Sonic: (Dizzy) Did anybody see me do a circus act?

{Lupe’s cottage}

Lupe: [wrap a bandage around Sonic’s head] What did you do this time?

Sonic: [head is being wrapped] I’ve already told you. Me and Doctor Kintobor see a giant ring as I try to jump in it and fell into the giant hole.

Lupe: Why in a hell you make such a story up?

Kintobor: It’s true Miss Lupe. I have seen it myself.

Lupe: Well if you say so I may let him slide for now, but why in the hell you trying to jump into the giant ring yourself?

Sonic: I figure if I jump inside the ring I may find one of the Chaos Emeralds since the radar detected the exact spot over there.

Lupe: What made you think you may find it inside the ring?

Kintobor: Let me fill it in for you miss Lupe. [Steps in] What we found out is possibly some sort of a trans-dimensional gateway to some sort of different reality.

Lupe: What you saying is…?

Tails: He’s saying the Chaos Emerald might be in the other dimension while that giant ring is possibly a gateway to another dimension that takes us to found that Chaos Emerald.

Kintobor: Precisely!

Sonic: If it’s a gateway, why can’t I enter it?

Kintobor: I think it’s the reason you cannot enter is you need some sort of energy to make it possible of us to enter that alternate dimension. My theory is we need to have exact power and similar frequency from that giant ring in order to enter such dimension.

Sonic: But the question is… where can we find such power sources?

Kintobor: I know the way.

{Kintobor’s secret laboratory}

Sonic: (Narration) Hours have passed and he taken me to his other laboratory at Mount Gimmick.

[Sonic and Kintobor walking through the laboratory as Kintobor is moving to some giant store closet and pulls out a code key]

Sonic: What’s in there?

Kintobor: [Holding a code key] This is something I keep from the government during The Great Mobius War. I like to do one favor for me.

Sonic: Yes?

Kintobor: Please keep this a secret just between us two.

Sonic: Well…. Okay… but what’s in there?

Kintobor: [Put the code key in the slot and the hatches are open] This!

Sonic: (surprised) Well I’ll be…

Kintobor: Yes! These are my… [Shows the closet is storage over billions of power rings]… POWER RINGS!

[The rings glow so bright that it lights up the room]

Sonic: Cool! [Walks and picks one up] What are they use for? [One glows and merging with in him] Huh?

Kintobor: I create them just to help us a cause to create an alternate source of energy to power up some electricity.

Sonic: But why keep it a secret?

Kintobor: Because there’s another thing with those rings. If anyone ever holds one, for some reason the body cells absorb its energy and cause an actual someone to recover stamina. If anyone knows including the government, they may use them for the wrong things.

Sonic: Like use them to power up on weaponry.

Kintobor: Exactly!

Sonic: Do you think these rings may help us to go in that other dimension like you say before?

Kintobor: That I’m not sure yet. [Calculating] My theory is that we need to use 50 rings to get in that gateway.

Sonic: First we need to find a way to have these…. Giant rings here.

Kintobor: I think it’ll be impossible for us to get these rings here but we may going to test it out by making one our own.

Sonic: We are?

Kintobor: [pulls out the red chaos emerald] By using this!

Sonic: Use the red emerald to get the other emeralds.

Kintobor: No, no! We need to use that emerald as a guinea pig the question is this. How can we put it in the other dimension?

Sonic: Hmm… [Thinking] I say we must do the same thing of what I’m doing before and… [Start to notice and looks at Kintobor]

Kintobor: (smiles, idea) you’re a genius Sonic. Why didn’t I think of that?

Sonic: (uncertain) Uh…. I don’t know… why we need to get them anyway?

Kintobor: Sonic, if you must know. If there in that dimension for so long… I have a theory it’ll be cataclysmic.

Sonic: Cataclysmic? Like how?

Kintobor: My theory is from after I see that giant ring. That world and our world might have synchronized, if we didn’t stop it soon. Evil might start to corrupt us again or… maybe worse…

Sonic: you mean? We about to go to another war?

Kintobor: That… or… we may have…. Super natural disasters.

Sonic: Super natural disasters?

Kintobor: Giant tornadoes! Giant tidal waves… Super thunder storms… and even… hypercanes!

Sonic: I may not understand the last one but I have a feeling we better do something to get those Chaos Emeralds back before of what you just said before.

Kintobor: Sonic… I know it may sound selfish of me but I like you to test it out yourself.

Sonic: Me?

Kintobor: But take these with you. [Give him 49 rings] And I like you to try it out with my new invention. [Going out]

Sonic: What new invention? [Follows him]

[After they exit, it shows Kintobor’s seismograph starts to interrupt and predicting there will be an earthquake in a half-an-hour.]

{Outside}

Kintobor: [Shows a giant gyratosphere.] My latest invention the gyratosphere.

Sonic: What in a hell does that thing do any help on us?

Kintobor: I like you to run through it while I put the Red Chaos Emerald on the pedestal, but…
Sonic: It’ll happen like before didn’t it?

Kintobor: Well… yes… but I don’t like the idea of using you that way. It might be dangerous for you to do so.

Sonic: [Pause for 5 seconds to think] (determined) That’s a risk I’m willing to take. (Demanding) Doctor… set up that machine.

Kintobor: (worried)…okay… [Put the emerald on the pedestal] …let’s hope it works and may not destroy either of us.

Sonic: [got in the machine] Okay! Let it juice!

[Kintobor start up the power and the red chaos emerald starts to glow a bit. He turns on the machine and the engine starts to hum. Sonic begins to run on the gyratosphere as its spinning from his speed. The gauge on the gyratosphere begins to show that Sonic is at 80 MPH during the time he’s running. The red chaos emerald glows brightly as Sonic speeds up more.]

Kintobor: [Check the gauge on the gyratosphere] You’re moving at 217 MPH!

Sonic: Ha! Guess I need to juice more! [Runs faster than the gauge starts to climbs faster and slowing down a bit from the 540th range while it’s still climbing]

Kintobor: [sees the machine begins to sparks a bit] Oh no! Abort Sonic, ABORT!

[Sonic didn’t listens of what Kintobor saying. he’s speeding up some more while the gauge is climbing up to the 590th range.]

Kintobor: (Yells) SONIC! YOU MUST STOP NOW! YOU WILL DESTORY THE MACHINE!

[Sonic continues dashing inside the machine while it’s rotating to 610th range and climbing still. The gyratosphere begins to heat up a bit more while a warning alarm goes off. Dr. Kintobor tries to grab Sonic by pulling him out but Kintobor feels something pulling him to the machine so he begin to back away from it]

Kintobor: Oh no! Sonic runs so fast, it starts to create its own powerful G-Force. I better not get close to it or else I’ll be burned and trampled to death. [Starts to run away from the machine but stops and turns back.] On the second thought, I can’t leave Sonic there like that. He’s my friend. Guess I should stay here and figure a way to get him out of there. [Stands and thinks of the way]

[Sonic runs faster and faster as it’s going to the 710s area as the sonic boom build up again. Machine begins to catch on fire, the Red Chaos Emerald glows very bright. The gauge makes it to 720 and finally Sonic make it to 721 MPH and the machine begins to cover with electricity. Dr. Kintobor begins to duck and cover by having a feeling the machine is going to explode again. A bright light flashes while Kintobor cover himself from fearing for Sonic and the explosion. The flash starts to fade away.]

Kintobor: [Start to notice something that there’s no explosion. Start to look ahead while getting up and sees Sonic and the machine are gone] (Worried, wondering) Sonic? [Walks to where the machine is at before] Sonic? [Looks around and sees nothing] Sonic? Where are you? [Lighting starts to strike from left to right where Sonic is and the gyratosphere are located before. He jump away from the lightning and make it out of there range.]

[Lighting start to strike from side to side where Sonic and the machine disappeared from and suddenly Sonic fell from mid-air while showing him he have the Red Chaos Emerald on his hand]

Kintobor: Sonic! [Run towards him] Are you okay? [Helps Sonic to get up]

Sonic: (Gasping) I’m… fine… [Woozy while moving left and right]

Kintobor: Geez cripes! Is that from the inter-dimensional travel?  [Try to help Sonic to regain his balance

Sonic: (gasping) No… just dizzy.

{5 Minutes Later}

Sonic: (normal) [walk on his own] There I’m feeling better. [Drink some water from Kintobor’s canteen]

Kintobor: What just happened while you’re in there?

Sonic: (remembering) As long I can remember… {Flashback} I couldn’t remember much but I know is that I’m in some wacky dimension. There are bumpers, switches, spiraling spheres, rings, entrance, exits, and some diamond-like barriers surrounding the Chaos Emerald. As I’m breaking through those diamonds I found the Red Chaos Emerald inside, grabbed it and suddenly I’ve just got back in here.

Kintobor: (background) What is it like in that dimension?

Sonic: (background) It’s like I’m in someone’s 3-D Rotating Puzzle Maze, and I’m the ball of that puzzle. Because of its constant and non-stopping turning and rotation which makes me unable to stand up inside that giant maze, so I turn myself into a ball just to be study in there. That place is very wacky and confusing. Thinking about going back in there makes me want to hurl.

Kintobor: I’m afraid it will not be your last time to be in that dimension. There’s still six more to get in that dimension. If we don’t… (Interrupted)

Sonic: (interrupting) Yeah, yeah! I know, and then everything will become a supernatural disaster.

Kintobor: Exactly! [Feels his stomach growls as Sonic’s done the same] Uh… like to go inside and eat?

Sonic: [Thumbs up and winks] Chili dog on me.

{Dr. Kintobor’s underground laboratory}

Sonic: (narration) We both felt very hungry since we haven’t eaten over hours because of our search of the Chaos Emeralds. We are just going to the kitchen to get some food but during that particular time… Kintobor will not be the same forever.

Kintobor: [opens the refrigerator and found just a rotten egg] P.U.! I forgot to buy some food again.

Sonic: [feels his stomach growling] Getting hungry here Doc. I think I can’t run very well while having an empty stomach.

Kintobor: Well I’ll try to find other things for us to eat while I putting this rotten egg in the composite heap container. [Walks towards the composite heap container while passing by the remade Retro-Orbital Chaos Compressor.] At least I remade a new ROCC and the Red Chaos Emerald in place all we need to do is to find those other six and… [A sudden earthquake has been hit. Sonic and Kintobor starts to lose their balance. The seismograph shows the earthquake magnitude is 10, some machines start to fell down. Kintobor accidently throws the egg onto the ROCC control panel. He tries to regain his balance but he tripped on one of the wires and fell into the ROCC control panel where the egg hits. He’s been struck by 10,000 Volts of Chaos Energy.]

Sonic: [Seeing Kintobor been electrocuted while the earthquake continues and regain his balance] DR. KINTOBOR! NO!!! [Try to go towards him but the earthquake is too strong. As Kintobor electrocuted the machine start to make a warning sound for overheating. As it start to overflow, the new ROCC exploded as rings start to shoot out of the lab as it’s flowing through all over the world. The earthquake stops after the explosion had happen. Sonic start to looks around the lab as it’s in ruins] Dr. Ovi Kintobor are you okay? [No response] Dr. Kintobor? [No response still] Dr… [Sees a body laying] DR KINTOBOR! [Run towards him] Doc! Are you alright? Speak to me.

Kintobor: Grrr…. (Breaths) yeeeeessss…..

Sonic: You’re okay! Thank goodness you’re still alive Doctor Ovi Julian Kintobor… [Turns him upward but then he sees a different face.] (Shocked) Dr. Kintobor!!!

Robotnik: [Stands up] NO!!! [Grabbed Sonic] I’m not Dr. Ovi Julian Kintobor you miserable walking pin-cushion.

Sonic: [been grabbed] Kintobor? But…

Robotnik: My name is …. Dr. Ivo Robotnik and I will dispose of you worthless sentient life form, and that goes off the rest of your friends as well. [Evil laugh]
